Insiders nix Penelope Cruz rumours for Bond 24|
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz will not be following in the footsteps of her actor husband Javier Bardem by appearing in the next James Bond film, despite rumours that she was close to signing for a prominent Biond Girl role.
"Penelope is not in talks to be a Bond girl in a James Bond movie," an 'insder' told US Weekly
. "The stories are totally false."
The casting rumors began earlier this month when Yahoo UK reported that the 39-year-old Academy Award winner was in negotiations to film the 24th installment. Sources told the website that producers "had tried to get Penelope before, but she has never been available because of other commitments."
