Damian Lewis would like to be Bond, fails to realise his age

03-Sep-2013 • Actor News

British actor Damian Lewis, who has made his mark on US television audiences in the hit show "Homeland", has said in a recent interview that he would like to take over from Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond one day.

Unfortunately, Lewis seems to have failed to notice he is only 3 years younger than Craig, and with another two films on his contract, is likely to run through to at least 2017 when Lewis would be 47 years old.

Discussing the allure of playing the famous spy he told Esquire magazine: ‘Yes, I think it would be wonderful. Daniel [Craig] is doing an amazing job and he’ll continue to do it for a bit. But if it ever comes to that, I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.’
