Ralph Fiennes hopes M will get out from behind his desk in Bond 24

13-Mar-2014 • Spectre (2015)

Judi Dench's M was no stranger to field work and frequently got caught up in 007's missions, either as a kidnap victim in "The World Is Not Enough", in the Behamas to brief Bond in the "Casino Royale" mission, and Bolivia for "Quantum", and most the target of a vengeful terrorist in "Skyfall". Fiennes, it seems, hopes that his character will carry on this tradition.

Now, in a recent interview with Hitfix, promoting "The Grand Budapest Hotel", Fiennes says that he's asked the producers what is in store for "M" in Bond 24 but they have not got anything definite just yet.

He did, however, say that he's starting to hear: "The rumours are that I'm not stuck behind a desk, that I maybe do get out and maybe there's a little bit of action for M. I hope so."
