Bond 24 is back to being shot on film after 'Skyfall' went digital

16-Jun-2014 • Spectre (2015)

'Skyfall' was the first James Bond film to be shot entirely on digital (with ARRI cameras), but EON Productions are going back to the classic movie making methods for Bond 24.

Director of photography Roger Deakins, who lead the charge to digital, turned down the opportunity to follow up his stellar cinematography work on 'Skyfall'.

When asked on his message boards if he would be recommending a new DOP for Sam Mendes, a regular poster confirmed: "All I know is 100% shooting back on film as I know the lab handling it."

The director of photography for Bond 24 is still to be announced.
