EON Productions 'Non-Bond' movie 'The Silent Storm' is sold to Sony Pictures

19-Feb-2015 • Bond News

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions have bought multiple international territories to Corinna McFarlane’s directorial debut 'The Silent Storm'. Territories acquired include the USA, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.

The film was a rare non-James Bond feature to be executive produced and financed by 007 producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and EON Productions.

Starring Damian Lewis and Andrea Riseborough, 'Silent Storm' follows an enigmatic outsider living on a remote Scottish island, who finds herself caught between her minister husband and the delinquent who is sent to live with them.

Broccoli and Wilson are re-teaming with the film's director, Nicky Bentham, on a Los Angeles-set psychological thriller, currently in development.
