Mike Marshall, Colonel Scott in `Moonraker`, dies aged 60

08-Jun-2005 • Actor News

The French-American actor Mike Marshall, son of actor William Marshall and actress Michele Morgan, has died aged 60.

Marshall died last Thursday at a hospital in Caen, Normandy, according to the newspaper notice. Le Parisien said he succumbed to cancer, reports The Scotsman.

Born in Los Angeles on September 13, 1944, Marshall acted in nearly 50 French or American movies and TV dramas over the past four decades. He notably was a co-star with Laurence Olivier in the 1979 film A Little Romance and appeared as Colonel Scott in the James Bond film Moonraker the same year.

Marshall was the only son of Michele Morgan, one of France’s most popular actresses, and American actor William Marshall. He had six children.

His funeral was being held today in the Normandy coastal town of Deauville.
