David Arnold reportedly backs Amy Winehouse for Bond 22 theme song

20-Jun-2007 • Quantum Of Solace

MEDIA RUMOUR
007 composer David Arnold has reportedly lent his support to the unofficial campaign for Amy Winehouse to record the next James Bond theme song - reports Contact Music.

Last year, tabloid reports suggested the Bond producers were in talks for Winehouse to record the theme track for the upcoming 22nd movie, but the rumours were denied.

However, Arnold - who was composed the scores for the last four Bond movies - believes Winehouse's balladry and powerful vocals are perfect for the spy franchise.

He says, "Amy Winehouse had the best record of last year. I haven't asked her yet, but I think she'd be good, although Bond songs can be a bit of a war zone."
