"Die Another Day" Japanese Premiere
February 2003

The "Die Another Day" premiere band wagon hit Japan this weekend.

The Japanese premiere was held in Hall A of the famous Tokyo International Forum building on February 2nd 2003. The impressive hall held a capacity of 5,012 people.

To satisfy the demand for Bond, three premiere screenings were held during the day, and best of all, it was all free of charge.

Director Lee Tamahori and Bond girls Rosamund Pike (Miranda Frost) and Halle Berry (Jinx) attended a glossy press conference to promote the film on the Tuesday 28th January 2003, but the stars were nowhere to be seen on opening night.

Our sources in Tokyo said that only a few Japanese celebrities turned out for the event, which was otherwise very low key and disappointing.

The film opens nation wide - nearly 6 weeks after this premiere - from Saturday 15th March 2003 onwards.
