Quantum of Solace Berlin Premiere
5th November 2008

Three days before the nationwide release of the 22nd James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" in Germany, the Sony Center in Berlin rolled out the red carpet for Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko (Camille), Jesper Christensen (Mr White), Anatole Taubman (Elvis), director Marc Forster and producer Barbara Broccoli.

Around 2,000 fans gathered at the Sony Center on Monday 3rd November to catch a glimpse of the stars before the gala screening at the CineStar Cinema at Potsdamer Platz. Sony Pictures Germany chief Martin Bachmann confirmed it was the biggest movie premiere they have ever organised. Over 1,500 tickets to the screening had been requested.

Shortly after 7pm, Daniel Craig arrived on the red carpet to a thunderstorm of camera flashes and applause, and spent considerable time signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. "Berlin is one of my favourite cities", Craig told local press before confirming his shoulder was "doing well" and that he no longer needed his sling.

The after-party took place at the energy forum on the bank of the Spree in Friedrichshain, but Craig headed directly to Lucerne and Kurylenko jetted to Rotterdam for the Swiss and Dutch premieres respectively.

"Quantum of Solace" opens nationwide in Norway on Friday 7th November 2008. Many cinemas are hosting special midnight screenings with queues expected to form late Thursday evening.

Additional events are expected to be held in Lucerne, Amsterdam, Rome, Valencia, Sydney and Tokyo.
