001: New Wheels
Producer Michael G. Wilson confirmed to press gathered at the Bond In Motion exhibition preview day in London that 007 will be once again behind the wheel of an Aston Martin in the next outing: Bond 24. Given that James Bond's personal DB5 was destroyed in 'Skyfall', Wilson said it would be a 'new' model that people haven't seen yet. That would rule out the 2015 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month.

002: Villain Casting
It won't be John Travolta, despite what the cult actor may think his chances are. Also at the Bond In Motion press day, producer Barbara Broccoli revealed that they are still to select the central villain for Bond 24. "We're in the early stages. We start filming at the end of the year and the next film will come out at the end of 2015. It's an exciting time for us. We've been working on the script with John Logan, Sam Mendes and Daniel and it's evolving. This is the exciting bit when we get all of the creative forces together and start to develop the action sequences. The sky's the limit at the moment. We haven't chosen the villain yet, so we're hoping to be selecting someone in the next couple of months."

003: Continuing Themes
Screenwriter John Logan spoke to Empire Online about how Bond 24 will follow up from Skyfall. The American writer told the magazine: "The new movie continues the themes of Skyfall. Some of the characters and themes that we began to introduce in Skyfall will play out, I hope successfully, in the next movie."

004: Scheduling Slip
Multiple sources confirmed that Bond 24 was scheduled to start shooting at Pinewood Studios in October (including Ralph Fiennes and John Logan), but according to the scarily accurate tips from Baz Bamigboye at the Daily Mail, the start date has pushed back a month to November. Shooting on the film is expected to run until May 2015.

005: Old Friends
Everyone from the core MI6 team will be back from "Skyfall". Ralph Fiennes will take charge of MI6 as the new chief 'M', Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw will reprise their roles as Miss Moneypenny and gadget-master Q respectively, and Rory Kinnear will be back as chief of staff Bill Tanner for his third film. Both Kinnear and Harris talked about Bond 24 on the red carpet in London last month.

006: Action For MI6
Both Ralph Fiennes ('M') and Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny) have expressed their desire to get in the field again and share in some of the action with 007. Although Fiennes says he has yet to see a script, the head of MI6 expects to be getting out of the office again. "The rumours are that I'm not stuck behind a desk, that I maybe do get out and maybe there's a little bit of action for M. I hope so." Harris also made similar statements.

007: New Cinematographer
A surprising and, for many, saddening development on the Bond 24 crew broke last month when Roger Deakins announced he would not be returning from "Skyfall". The Academy Award-nominated cinematographer will not be back for Bond 24 when it goes into production late this year. Deakins said: "[Sam Mendes] has got a great idea for another film, which is really an extension of 'Skyfall', but from my point, I don't know what else I could do with it, really." Deakins was nominated for an Oscar for his work on "Skyfall", and whilst he's been nominated for a further 9 films between 1995 and 2013 the respected cinematographer has never clinched the award.

Bond 24 will be released on October 23rd in the UK and November 6th in the USA.

Briefing
SPECTRE (2015) is the new James Bond film and the 24th in the series. It will be the fourth outing for Daniel Craig as 007, and the second film to be directed by Sam Mendes from a screenplay by John Logan, Neal Purvis & Robert Wade. The new MI6 team of Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Tanner) and Ben Whishaw (Q) are all reprising their roles. The cast will include Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista, Andrew Scott and Christoph Waltz. Production commences on December 8th 2014, with location work as early as 5th January 2015 in Austria. The film will also shoot on location in: Erfoud and Tangier, Morocco; Rome, Italy and Mexico City, Mexico. SPECTRE is scheduled for release on 7th November 2015.
