Shiny box... MGM have announced plans to release an R2 007 Special Edition DVD box set containing all 19 DVD's contained within in a steel collectors case. US Bond fan have had the DVD's rolled out in three boxed sets (plus an individual release of "The World Is Not Enough"). But now for the first time, UK collectors will be able to get the entire series in one swoop.

The critically acclaimed special edition DVD's will be available as a collectors box set from November 5th 2001 in Region 2. Main story here. All 19 DVDs will be shipped at a recommended retail price of £299.

Sharp eyed collectors may remember MGM's promise to give a collectors case free to anyone collecting tokens from all 19 individual DVD's. This offer was quickly denounced and replaced by a series of small gifts such as postcards and storyboards.

MGM have confirmed that there are no plans to sell the collectors case separately. The DVDs supplied in the box-set are identical to those sold separately since May 2000.

Unofficial Goodies

Fans angered at the late release of the box set and MGM's unwillingness to sell the case separately to those who already own all 19 DVDs, may take some solace in an unofficial collectors case...
