Video
The Ultimate Edition transfer is superior to the earlier 2000 releases, but in some places the image feels a little over processed. The colour correction and balance is an improvement on the past DVD releases. The most notable correction is edge enhancement, which sometimes gives a ghostly outline to characters.

Audio
Featuring a new DTS 5.1 mix, this track has a slightly broader range, though you would be hard pressed to notice the difference between the SE 2000 Dolby Digital 5.1 and this release. The dialogue is audible throughout the film. There are a few scenes where the lip synch is out, but these are few and far between. The surround sound is underused throughout the film especially the base channels, which could have really helped sell the massive explosions during the final assault on the tanker control room. The overall mix is good, however in a few places Marvin Hamlisch score is overly dominate.
