Wai Lin Figure Announced By Sideshow
10th July 2004

Since 2002, Sideshow Collectibles have been exclusively licensed to create a line of 12" collectible figures in the likeness of all five Bond actors, key villains and some of the famous women since 2002.

A special limited edition "Wai Lin" figure from "Tomorrow Never Dies", sculpted by Andy Bergholtz, has just been announced!

Standing at 12" tall, Wai Lin has 30 points of articulation, and comes equipped with her espionage ready costume, shoes with throwing stars mounted on the soles, throwing stars, MP-5, small explosives, and a "Tomorrow Never Dies" 12" figure stand.

Posing as a reporter, Wai Lin of the Chinese secret service goes undercover to investigate the suspicious circumstances behind hostilities between her country's armed forces and the British Navy. Not your typical Bond girl, martial arts specialist Michelle Yeoh gives Wai Lin an explosive on-screen presence in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Bond: They say communists don't know how to have fun. Wai Lin: Well, I always wanted to work with a decadent agent of a corrupt western power.

Wai Lin is set to debut at the 2004 International Comic Convention (Comic Con) held in San Diego, California from July 22nd through the 25th.

The figure will go on sale in February 2005 and will retail for $40.00.
