Pierce Brosnan and the rest of the principal cast were introduced to the world's media at the 'GoldenEye' press launch day held on January 21st 1995 at the newly created Leavesden Studios. This was the media's first real look at Pierce Brosnan as James Bond 007.

Filming at the new studios had started a few days earlier on January 16th. A short time after this press day, the production set out for Monaco to shoot the casino scenes where Bond first meets Xenia, and the car chase scene that saw the long overdue return of the Aston Martin DB5.
