Caught In The Act
Shadows stay in front or behind, unless you’re Agent
007, who takes his position firmly on top. As well as his
duty to protect Elektra, Bond takes on a few extra responsibilities
when he beds this beautiful, lethal woman before ducking out for a trip to the Middle East.
After losing her father in an explosion at London’s
MI6 headquarters, Elektra takes over the family oil and
pipeline business. Her ambition for industry domination
soon gets out of hand, and it would seem King will stop
at nothing to control the world’s oil supply.
"Acting is wonderful therapy
for people. Instead of suffering for yourself, someone will
do it for you." - Marceau on her chosen career
Despite the tragic death of her father, she continues to
build the family empire. Bond discovers that there is more
to Elektra than first meets the eye and she is now planning
the deaths of millions, in exchange for her personal ambitions.
Elektra: Who's afraid now, Mr. Bond?
Elektra: You don't take "no" for an
answer, do you?
Elektra: I hope you know how to ski, then.
Bond: I came prepared for a cold reception.
Bond: You'll be safe here.
Elektra: I don't want to be safe.
Elektra: You can't kill me. You'll miss me.
Bond: [shoots her] I never miss…
Elektra: I could have given you the world.
Bond: The world is not enough.
Elektra: Foolish sentiment.
Bond: Family motto.
"It is my oil. Mine! And my family's. It runs in my veins - thicker than blood."
