Historic post office repainted for 'Skyfall' crew arrival in Istanbul

16-Apr-2012 • Skyfall

Local reports explain that the historic post office in Sirkeci, Istanbul has received a full coat of paint, inside and out, ahead of the Skyfall crew's arrival this week.

Preparations for the production were reportedly completed late last week.

Eminonu Square will be closed for four days whilst the pre-title sequence action is captured on location. Filming, the reports suggest is due to begin "soon."

Arrangements have been made to close certain streets leading into the square on alternate days. Streets now bear warnings about the interruptions. Shopkeepers will be compensated for the lack of custom whilst "Skyfall" cast and crew are on location.
