Filming logistics revealed for 'Skyfall' opening chase sequence

It may only take a couple of minutes at the beginning of the film, but shooting the opening teaser sequence action for the upcoming James Bond adventure "Skyfall" required an awful of of people and equipment.

According to RTE, t he spectacular Istanbul sequence took 30 days to shoot in total, utilising 300 crew members and 500 extras, most of whom were locals playing market stall holders.

The opening sequence took three months to shoot. Bond and his Eve (Naomie Harris) chase the baddie, Patrice (Ola Rapace), via Land Rover, motorbike and train through the Grand Bazaar.

No humans were injured but 15 Audi A5s and 15 Land Rovers had seen better days by the end.

This is the third time the city has hosted the movie franchise following "From Russia with Love" and "The World is Not Enough".
