An interview from 2000 with Oscar-winning composer John Barry, who became renowned for his scores for films including Goldfinger, Out of Africa, Born Free, Diamonds Are Forever and Dances with Wolves. As well as discussing his career, he talks about his upbringing in northern England, his relationship with his father and how the Second World War changed his life. Featuring contributions by Kevin Costner, Michael Caine and Adam Faith.

The concert, at London's Royal Festival Hall, also features singers Mary Carewe and Lance Ellington, and is presented by Honor Blackman, famous for her role as Pussy Galore in Goldfinger.
