George Lazenby moves house to Brentwood, California, for $2.8m

09-Jan-2004 • Actor News

Former James Bond star George Lazenby, and his wife Olympic gold medalist Pam Shriver, have sold their home in Pacific Palisades for about $2.5 million.

The one-time 007 and tennis star sold their home with spectacular ocean and mountain views because it did not have a tennis court. They bought a Brentwood home that does have one for about $2.8 million.

Lazenby, a native of Australia, was the first actor who replaced Sean Connery as James Bond. Lazenby, 64, did one Bond film, "On Her Majesty`s Secret Service" (1969). Since then he has appeared periodically on television and in film.

The Palisades house, built in 1986, also has a media room, pool and spa. Their new Brentwood home is on slightly more than an acre and also has a pool.

Shriver, 41, had a 19-year professional tennis career, during which she won 21 singles titles and 112 doubles titles. She won the 1988 Olympic gold medal in doubles with Zina Garrison as her partner. Later she won many doubles titles with Martina Navratilova as her partner. Shriver is now a TV commentator-tennis analyst.
