Kevin Spacey denies links to Bond Villain role, again

10-Jun-2014 • Spectre (2015)

Last time around, Kevin Spacey was rumoured to be under consideration as the villain in what would become 'Skyfall', mostly on the back of his relationship with director Sam Mendes.

There was never any truth to that rumour, so it may be of little surprise that the media is running with the idea again.

Spacey shot it down again for the BBC: "I don't know why people keep writing about this.

"I've been offered no role, I've never read a script... No, I am not doing the next James Bond movie."

He added: "I don't know who started the rumour but stop it."

"Obviously if [Mendes] wanted me he would've offered me the role," Spacey reasoned.

"I don't even know if there is a role, frankly."
