Stunt performer and actor Claude Carliez has passed away

19-May-2015 • Bond News

Claude Carliez was born in 1925 in Nancy, France. He became a master of classical French fencing before transitioning into acting and other stunt arranging.

He found work on over 100 pictures and notably served the spy-spoof series of films centring on the enigmatic OSS 117. He joined the Bond family for 1979's "Moonraker" when the production made the move to France. On 1985's "A View To A Kill" Carliez served as stunt team supervisor.

He passed away this week aged 90 and a small family ceremony will honour the stunt man on 20th May.
