Craig reportedly excited by Boyle at the helm

09-Mar-2018 • No Time To Die

Reliable Bond tipster, Baz Bamigboye, has given fans of a Boyle-helmed Bond a glimmer of hope this week. If his sources are to be believed, Bond producers Barbara Broccoli, Michael Wilson and star/producer Daniel Craig, met with Danny Boyle and screenwriter John Hodge to hear their big idea for a Boyle-directed Bond 25.

According to Bamigboye's sources, yes, they're "excited" by it and Craig himself is the biggest "cheerleader" for going in this direction. Apparently,  the core idea for Hodge's screenplay dates all the way back to the 2012 Olympics when Boyle last directed Daniel Craig as Bond.

That said, the latest snag is that Boyle is connected to a film for Working Title dubbed "All You Need Is Love", based around songs by the Beatles with a screenplay by Richard Curtis. EON is expected to do all it can to get Boyle released from the picture promptly, by the end of the year, and to transition without a break on to Bond 25. Although this move will help EON and MGM meet its proposed release date November 2019, it sounds like a gruelling schedule for any director.
