Bond 21 favourite Aishwarya Rai to migrate to Britain - a Bond Girl role would be `flattering`

09-May-2004 • Casino Royale

The Bollywood star recently completed a tour of the UK, and has hinted that she might consider moving to Britain.

"It is something I may consider in the future, depending on which direction my career takes me," Rai told the local media.

"I have an open mind about these things. I feel I can adapt quite readily to working and living abroad as I have recently been spending more and more time overseas attending award ceremonies," she added.

Rai said her fan base in Britain was "the best thing" about the country. She recently completed shooting for Gurinder Chaddha's "Bride and Prejudice".

On reports that she was being considered for a role in the next James Bond film, Rai said: "I would be truly flattered if such a role was offered to me. I have been approached for several international projects but I am not at liberty to speculate unless the film is a confirmed project."

Thanks to `Ken` for the alert.
