Baywatch `star` David Hasselhoff fancies himself as next James Bond villian and theme singer, plumbs new depths in self promotion

06-Jun-2004 • Casino Royale

Famous for "Baywatch" and 80's show "Knight Rider", and even more popular in Germany for his best selling music albums, actor and crooner David Hasselhoff is setting his sights on Bond 21 - reports Empire Magazine.

Not only does the self-promoting mullet want to sing the theme song to the next James Bond film, he wants to play a villain too.

"I like the idea of being a Bond baddie, " he said. "I can do bad." Well, quite.

Update: David Hasselhoff was arrested over the weekend on suspicion on driving while intoxicated, police said Monday. The former "Baywatch" star was arrested late Saturday night on Ventura Boulevard in the Encino section of the San Fernando Valley, said Officer Sara Faden, a police spokeswoman. He was released the next morning.

MI6 Rumour Rating: "K.I.T.T." has more chance.

Thanks to `Kevin` for the alert.
