007 comes to the rescue of Sean Connery on the golf course

08-Jun-2004 • Actor News

Scottish actor Tony curran recalled a Glasgow-Edinburgh grudge match on the golf course with Sir Sean Connery to The Scotsman newspaper this week.

They’d both hit their balls into the rough and wandered in to look for them. Tony bent down. "I’ve found mine."

Sir Sean ambled over. "I think you’ll find it’s mine."

"No. It’s mine. It’s a Titleist."

"I think you’ll find mine’s Titleist No 1."

"I’m playing a Titleist No 1 too."

"Is there anything on the back?"

Tony turned it over. And there was the clear marking: "007". Game, set and match, as they might not say.

Thanks to `Scotty` for the alert.
