Unnamed James Bond videogame slated for November 15th release on Sony PSP handheld

11-Apr-2005 • Gaming

"Toys R Us" have uncovered plans for a James Bond videogame on the new Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld platform.

The toy retailer has listed "James Bond 007: Part IV" by EA Games for the Sony PSP with a release date of November 15th 2005.

Forthcoming 007 game "From Russia With Love" (VG) has so far only been listed for PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube releases.

EA's internal numbering system for the 007 games has "NightFire" as Bond 4, with the forthcoming "From Russia With Love" as Bond 6 - replacing the scrapped Pierce Brosnan next-generation console project (previously known as "Bond 6").

It is unlikely that "NightFire", which was released back in 2002, would be ported to the new Sony handheld (although "never say never"!).

EA's latest title set in the Bond universe, "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent", is being released on the new Nintendo DS handheld in June 2005.

An official announcement on "From Russia With Love" (VG) is expected on April 27th.
