Will James Bond win his DB5 in a Casino Royale poker game?

25-Jan-2006 • Casino Royale

Earlier this week, MI6 exclusively revealed that 007's classic Aston Martin DB5, which first appeared in 1964's "Goldfinger", will be making a brief appearence in Casino Royale.

James Bond will use the DB5 as his personal car during the scenes filmed in the Bahamas, although the car will not have any of the usual gadgets.

The car's appearence and gadget-free state may be explained by a new unconfirmed rumour that James Bond wins his DB5 in a poker game earlier in the film.

The new Aston Martin DBS will be Bond's main car in the film, and will be tricked out will all the latest gadgets and gizmos.

Produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli (Eon Productions) and directed by Martin Campbell, CASINO ROYALE is scheduled for release November 17, 2006. Principal photography will start on January 30th 2006, with locations in the UK, Czech Republic (Prague), Italy, and the Bahamas. It will be British actor Daniel Craig’s first outing as James Bond. He is the sixth actor to play the 007 role in the franchise.
