Miss Moneypenny (Samantha Bond) goes on the record about her leaving when Pierce Brosnan retires from Bond

07-Aug-2003 • Actor News

Samantha Bond has spoken about her plans to leave her role as Miss Moneypenny. The 40-year old actress has spoken about her leaving the Bond series when Pierce Brosnan retires from his role as 007.

She told a UK TV guide in a brief interview: "I`ll stick with it as long as Mr Brosnan does. If he goes, I go. I don`t want to be older than James."

Brosnan has gone on record that he will be doing Bond 21, and then maybe a sixth: "I think we`re good for a fifth" he said just before turning 50 in May this year, "Barbara and Michael say they`re happy to have me on board until I say no. but one has to be realistic about this. As for a sixth, it`s a possibility."
