Chris Hemsworth tipped as future 007 by Daniel Craig's stunt double

29-Aug-2016 • Actor News

One of Daniel Craig's stunt doubles has tipped Australian actor Chris Hemsworth to take over the 007 role.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, stunt coordinator Bobby Holland Hanton said Hemsworth stood "head and shoulders" above the competition and that "Chris is in a league of his own."

He has worked with Craig on three Bond films, and now his double is "...in the middle of filming Thor Raganok with Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba. The buzz and in my opinion is that it’s Chris Hemsworth for Bond. He would be perfect. I am not being biased in any way. I think he would be perfect for it, and he has got a fantastic English accent as everyone knows from his performance in Rush. He has obviously got the physical shape. Tom is also training and hard at it in his own gym, but Chris is in a league of his own when it comes to physique."

When asked recently if he would be interested in the role in the future, Hemsworth explained: "I don’t know many who wouldn’t jump at that. Would it be scary and daunting? Of course. But what isn’t?"
