A Classic Bond For 23
27th July 2011
Daniel Craig was interviewed this week by "Cowboys & Aliens" director
Jon Favreau on the classic elements of Bond
23, starting as 007,
and learning not to look at the internet.
On Bond 23: "[Sam Mendes] jumped feet first in to it -
read every book and soaked up everything about it. I read the
script the other day and I'm more excited about [Bond 23] than
I was about "Casino Royale", because we've got a classic
Bond movie... plus lots of other things
On starting out as 007: "I was hearing about this
thing that they were going to stick me in a Harrier jump jet
and fly me down the Thames, and I was like 'whatever, I'm in
your hands'. Instead, they got the Royal Marines to drive me
down the Thames on attack boats. They were spectacular but they
wouldn't let me on without a life jacket. Immediately that was
the first thing that the press hit upon - what a pansy!"
"Cowboys & Aliens" opens
nationwide in the USA on 29th July 2011, and the UK on 17th August
