Bond Cars At The Barcelona Motor Show 2003
8th May 2003
As an important centre of car design, the Motor Show in
Barcelona is a major event.
Taking over the entire exhibition space in the Fira
de Barcelona, the Motor Show also benefited from the
advantage a Mediterranean spring by taking over the access
roads between the exhibition halls, where you could find
additional stands from various manufacturers, go kart racing
and displays of the off road vehicles.

As well as seeing the latest output from Ferrari, the Enzo, all
leading manufacturers were there, so on display were Fords, Jeeps,
Jaguars... But what people were really there to see was the promise
of vehicles from all 20 of the James Bond films, and they were
not disappointed.

the world", the Aston Martin DB5. |

Secret Service". |
In Hall 2, accompanied by music from the films, were Aston Martin's,
Lotus Esprit's, speedboats, taxis and Little Nellie herself. Each
film was represented by at least one vehicle and each stand decorated
with stills from the film, the Spanish language poster and details
of the vehicle.

Although some of the vehicles appearing were actually used in
filming, some were not so convincing. Every car had a brand new
numberplate, often stuck over an existing one, and the BMW Z8
on "The World Is Not Enough" stand was red! Although
Little Nellie was the real thing, and various other cars had clear
signs that they were authentic.
More photos from the show later in the week.
