Christopher Lennertz has been announced as the composer for the forthcoming James Bond videogame "From Russia With Love"...

FRWL Composer Announced
9th March 2005

As MI6 exclusively revealed in January, the next James Bond game from EA will be titled "From Russia With Love" and set around the 1963 film. 007's likeness in the third person perspective game will be none-other than the original Bond - Sir Sean Connery.

Today another key element of the game has been revealed - Christopher Lennertz will compose the score for "From Russia With Love".

FilmScoreMonthly leaked the news on a forum yesterday. "Christopher Lennertz has been signed by Electronic Arts to compose the music to their James Bond line of games beginning with "From Russia With Love".

The entire look and feel of the game is said to be very 1960's, and the score will very much be a part of and add to that overall ambiance.

Lennertz will begin recording at the famous Abbey Road studios (London, UK) later this month.

Christopher Lennertz, 33, previously scored "Medal of Honor: Rising Sun" (2003) and "Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault" (2004) for EA Games. The Massachusetts born composer was named "Best New Composer" of 2002 by Cinemusic.

"From Russia With Love" will be loosely based on the 1963 film, and expanded with extra plot and additional characters for the 2005 videogame.

Sir Sean Connery will be reprising his infamous role as James Bond 007 with his likeness in the game. He is also expected to lend his voice to the character again, but this is yet to be officially confirmed.

Internet rumours have confused the recent game footage shown of Brosnan (in the axed Bond6 project) with the idea of another title being in development. This is not true. The only 007 licence game currently in development is "From Russia With Love". EA LA, who last year produced the critically slammed "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent", will not be producing a sequel to the villainous FPS shooter after it suffered poor sales.

Development of the game will take place at EA Redwood studios (USA) and will ship in late 2005 / early 2006 on Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. An official announcement of the game is expected sometime in Q1 2005.
