MI6 has a sneak preview of the vehicles James Bond will be driving and sailing in the forthcoming videogame "From Russia With Love"...

FRWL Vehicles Preview
20th September 2005

One of the big changes to the formula used in the last James Bond adventure "Everything or Nothing" is the integration of vehicular and third-person running & shooting action. No longer will players have to wait between car and on-foot missions, or even pause for a cut scene, as you will be able to hop in and out of vehicles similarly to "Grand Theft Auto".

Bond will take to the waves in "From Russia With Love" for the first time in an EA 007 game. One of the movie's final sequences was a boat chase where Bond and Tatiana escape the clutches of SPECTRE's flotilla. As with the rest of the game, EA have added a twist to the action, with Bond manning a gun on the boat and Tatiana steering in a rail-shooter format in one of the two boat missions.

Car Chaos
Back on four wheels, Bond will get behind the wheel of a selection of cars in the game. First up is the classic Aston Martin DB5, brought forward a mission from the movie "Goldfinger".

The DB5 gets put in action for the first time when James Bond and Kerim Bey drive from the airport, through the countryside, to the city of Istanbul.

Along the way they encounter some hostile locals, and 007 must battle his way to his final destination utilizing the car's machine guns, rockets and tire slashers.

Whilst in Istanbul, 007 will also enjoy classic luxury car to chauffeur Tatiana around in true 1960's style. The stylish ride will of course be kitted out with some deadly modifications, including front machine guns.

Later on in the adventure, Bond steals a Russian armored buggy whilst navigating a dangerous underground network of tunnels in a factory complex. The buggy will feature a devestating front-mounted cannon. As with all of the gadgets and weapons in the game, the buggy will be a blend of 1960's retro technology and a dash of modern gizmos.
