28th November 2010

The Complete Guide to the Drinks of James Bond - David Leigh

"The Complete Guide to the Drinks of James Bond" by David Leigh is a comprehensive guide to the drinks of James Bond from Ian Fleming's books and the official EON film series.

This book may not turn you into 007, but it is a fun way to learn more about the world's most famous secret agent and allow you incorporate elements of James Bond into your life. Imagine how you can pick one of James Bond's drinks when meeting your friends in a bar, or Friday night drinks with colleagues after work - you know you're drinking like James Bond, but nobody else does.

The book takes a look at all the cocktails mentioned into the books and films - much more than vodka martinis - and includes recipes so you can make them at home for your friends. The book also includes a section of wine, naturally including the Champagne region, of which Mr Bond is so fond. "The Complete Guide to the Drinks of James Bond" is available as a paperback, or you can download it in PDF format to read on your ebook reader or computer.

The first 100 customers to order the book before 30 November will receive a 15% discount on the cover price, which means you can buy it before then for £14.44. And it's also available as an ebook too - you can download it instantly and read it on your computer or ebook reader.

Q&A With The Author

When did you first come across James Bond?
I've been a Bond fan since the age of 8, although I can't remember exactly which came first - whether I bought the Aston Martin DB5 or read my dad's copy of Casino Royale. They pretty much happened simultaneously, which is why it's all blurred but when dad took me to see The Man With The Golden Gun on the big screen I was hooked - that was just the start.

How did you come up with the idea for the book?
One of the areas that I've always been quite interested in was 007's drinks as it's an easy way to explore the world of James Bond without having to actually do anything to dangerous, like save the world! I'd been toying with the idea of a book for some time - in fact I've been saying that I'd published book for years now - so started work earlier in the year.
