MI6 has been covering 007 since January 1998, and a lot has changed since then. To celebrate 007's 50th Literary Anniversary and to prepare for the Bond 21 buildup, MI6 has reworked it`s magic on the world's most visited unofficial 007 site...

The New Look MI6 - 2003
23rd April 2003

After over five years at the helm of covering all things Bond - from the latest breaking news to in-depth articles - it was time to relaunch MI6 into the 21st century.

The world's most visited unofficial James Bond site has undergone many changes and challenges over the years, including a major legal dispute, but this is the biggest event the site has ever seen.

Right: The new site branding focusses on the best of British.

Professional design house Digital Flashback was commissioned again to work their magic.

Among the many new innovations is a highly efficient skin system which will eventually give each and every section their own look and feel. You can already see this in action on the "Die Another Day" and "Bond 21" portals.

A new dynamic menu system replaces the old fashioned frames navigation and allows you to jump from section to section on every page of the site.

Context sensitive menus are attached the the left hand side of every page, giving you instant access to deeper links and hops back to the main pages.

With over 750 pages, 140 indepth articles, 600 news stories and 23,000 forum articles, the designers estimated it would take approximately 3 days to read everything MI6 has to offer. Brand new portals for "Die Another Day" and "Bond 21" have been added to make the experience even better.

MI6 hopes you enjoy the new design of the site and look forward to the new content we will be rolling out over the coming months. Some very exciting projects lay in wait, with even more original and innovative features already past the planning stage and on the launch pad.
