Back in 1962, Sean Connery’s request for a “martini, shaken not stirred” made with vodka helped change how people made 007’s favourite cocktail, from using traditional gin to making it vodka-based. Over the course of the last 24 films, many Bond Girls have inspired their own drinks too. Here is a special selection of non-alcoholic recipes from the MI6 bar tending division to help everyone celebrate the occasion.

The Honey Ryder
Inspired by the first leading lady of the James Bond film series, this tropical smoothy style cocktail is sure to leave your guests dreaming of Bahamian beaches.

Honey Ryder Cocktail

Ingredients
2 highball glasses
4 oz. (1/2 cup) orange juice
Flesh and seeds of 2 passion fruit
1 banana, skinned and roughly chopped
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
4 teaspoons raw sugar
Crushed ice
Garnish: slices of ripe banana dusted with grated nutmeg

Method
Whizz everything together in a blender with a scoop of crushed ice. Fill the glasses with crushed ice and pour in the drink.

The Pussy Galore
This recipe, inspired by the gutsy bad-girl-turned-good of the 1964 film, packs a fruity punch.

Pussy Galore Cocktail

1 teaspoon vanilla sugar

Crushed ice
Garnish: apple fans

Method
Whizz everything together in a blender along with crushed ice and split between the glasses.

The Moneypenny
Like the character played by Lois Maxwell, this recipe is ever-reliable. Packed with raspberry flavour, guests will enjoy the hint of passion hiding below the surface.
