Before the Z8 had even appeared
in showrooms, BMW launched a huge advertising campaign based on
Q-Branch's selection for Bond's new mission. David Lubars of BMW's
ad agency said "We are truly the makers of the best car in the
world - a James Bond quality car. It just shines on the brand.
Even though you can't get that car, the BMW you can get - you
get a little piece of that car".
BMW ran an extensive campaign, encompassing magazine, TV, radio
and online ads featuring their Z8 in association with 007. A shockwave
videogame was even available through the company's website where
players could drive the Z8 through Baku avoiding aerial attacks
from helicopters.
