Freida Pinto slams Bond Girl tabloid rumours as unfounded, says she is too young

28-Feb-2010 • Skyfall

"Slumdog Millionaire" star Freida Pinto has slammed tabloid stories linking her to a Bond Girl role as completely unfounded. Furthermore, the 25 year-old Indian actress says she is too young to play an on-screen love interest for Daniel Craig's interpretation of James Bond.

“I have no idea where that came from,” Freida shrugged, “even my LA agents were curious. But this is a Bond thing, it happens with a lot of actresses, or with those in the news", reports Bond23.net.

Speaking about the reaction to the (unfounded) rumour, Frieda said: “It was very flattering, I must say, and I don’t know if I would have done it. I’m too young to be a Bond girl. There’s not much of a role, though some of them have become iconic, and you need somebody more mature and beautiful than me.”
