Cinematographer Roger Deakins 'probably' working on Bond 23

10-Feb-2011 • Skyfall

In an interview with Collider the esteemed cinematographer, Roger Deakins let slip that he may have a job on the upcoming 007 adventure: James Bond 23.

The 62 year old, English-born cinematographer has recently worked with Bond 23 helmsman Sam Mendes on "Revolutionary Road" but he has become strongly associated with the Coen Brothers' unique style of filmmaking.

His credits also include "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994), "Fargo" (1996) and "The Reader" (2008).

Of course Deakins was tight lipped about his upcoming projects but when asked about what’s coming up next, he said, “I’ll probably do a film with Sam Mendes next,” and when quizzed about if it was the next 007 flick, Deakins replied cheekily, “it might, yeah.”
