Russian Margarita Levieva rumoured for a Bond 23 role

24-Jul-2011 • Skyfall

According to British tabloid, The Mirror, 31 year old Russian beauty Margarita Levieva has been asked about her availability in October/November of this year - a date in every Bond fan's diary.

The red top is quoting an unnamed insider: "The perfect Bond girl is beautiful, confident but mysterious, and Margarita has all of those qualities.

The deal will need to be finalised sooner rather than later, because the schedule for production is supposed to get under way in around October this year."

Fans of the franchise will recall that on Craig's first two outings, cameras were rolling on principal photography before a Bond girl was revealed to the world.

Margarita Levieva

Levieva graduated from the prestigious New York Meisner programme whose alumni includes the inimitable Steve McQueen.

The conclusion of this article, a roundup of various rumours, even notes that "Freida Pinto is also thought to have been approached by 007 producers", although Pinto cleared up any rumours of her involvement months ago. The paper also touts both Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes as confirmed to star, and notes that Naomi Harris will be breathing new life into Fleming's classic character of Miss Moneypenny.
