26-Sep-2018 • Bond News

Barbara Broccoli has been named among a suite of others as producer on a new biopic set in the Jim Crow-era.

Deadline reports that Jesse Williams (Greys Anatomy) will make his directorial debut at the helm of Till.  The story kicks off with the lynching of Emmett Louis Till in the American South and his mother's quest for justice. The screenplay by Michael Reilly is based on a 2005 documentary that prompted a reinvestigation of the case.

Whoopi Goldberg is set to co-star and produce, along with Thomas Levine, Leah Natasha Thomas, civil rights campaigner Keith Beauchamp, and the Bond producer.

Shooting is expected in the Summer of 2019 by which time principal photography on Bond 25 will be in full swing.
