Bond 25 to shoot in southern Italy, confirmed locations for April

03-Feb-2019 • No Time To Die

According to local press reports, producers have confirmed a Bond 25 location shoot schedule for Italy.

007 will visit Matera - a city on a rocky outcrop in the region of Basilicata, in southern Italy. It includes the Sassi area, a complex of cave dwellings carved into the mountainside.

Shooting will begin on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

The production is interested in using the area of the historic center (Cathedral, Piazza del Sedile, Via Ridola, Piazza San Francesco), views of the Sassi, and the area of the Murgia. Among the set locations also identified accommodation facilities Palazzo Gattini in Piazza Duomo, Casa Diva in Via Giumella, the popular hotel Sextantio in the Sasso Barisano and the Beach Restaurant Riva dei Ginepri, in Marina di Pisticci.

The agreement to shoot on location in Matera was apparently reached in December. Official news of the location shoot is expected to be announced in the next week or two.
