Daniel Craig 'just about' persuaded to return for Bond 25

04-Apr-2017 • No Time To Die

According to the Page6 column of the NY Post, James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has 'just about' persuaded Daniel Craig to return for Bond 25, which will be his fifth outing as 007.

Broccoli has been producing 'Othello' off-Broadway with Craig, "which won [him] the serious acting plaudits he craved."

Sources told the column: "Daniel was very pleased with how ‘Othello’ went and the great reviews. Now Daniel’s talks with Barbara are going in the right direction. They have a script - screenwriting duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are writing - and they’ll go into production as soon as Daniel is ready to commit."

"Daniel had such a good time in ‘Othello,’ produced by Barbara, that he’s ready to do a final Bond."

It does seem unlikely that 'they have a script' when Purvis & Wade were only recently touted as returning the to the series last month. They were definitely not working on Bond as recently as late January.

As yet, there have been no reliable sources to who may direct Bond 25.
