Daniel Craig leads tributes to Albert Finney

09-Feb-2019 • Actor News

Following the news of Albert Finney's death yesterday, tributes have been pouring in from the acting world. Finney's last big-screen credit was the role of Kincade in the 2012 James Bond film 'Skyfall.'

Daniel Craig said: "I’m deeply saddened by the news of Albert Finney’s passing. The world has lost a giant. Wherever Albert is now, I hope there are horses and good company."

'Skyfall' director Sam Mendes also paid tribute: "It is desperately sad news that Albert Finney has gone. He really was one of the greats – a brilliant, beautiful, big-hearted, life loving delight of a man. He will be terribly missed."

The BBC has announced a change to its schedule in the wake of Finney’s death and will show his film 'A Man Of No Importance' on BBC One on Sunday February 10th at 11.30pm.
