Director Jean-Marc Vallee turns down Bond 25 due to scheduling conflict

25-Aug-2018 • No Time To Die

Jean-Marc Vallée could have succeeded Danny Boyle in directing the 25th James Bond film. The Quebec director declined an offer from EON Productions this week due to being busy with another major film.

His son, Alex Vallée, confirmed the approach by Bond producers to Canadian media today.

Vallée recently directed 'Dallas Buyers Club' and the TV series 'Big Little Lies' and 'Sharp Objects' is currently working on a film produced by Michael De Luca around the love story between Yoko Ono and John Lennon. Little information has yet circulated on the film.

Jean-Marc Vallée says he does not want to close the door to the idea of directing a Bond film in the future, when his schedule will allow it.
