German TV substitutes 'From Russia With Love' broadcast

German television channel RTL has reacted to the Ukraine crisis by pulling 'From Russia With Love' from its movie schedule.

The 1963 film was due to be broadcast on Tuesday (1st March 2022) on RTL Nitro. The channel will now show 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' instead, at 8:15 pm CET.

RTL was planning to show each of the Sean Connery outings in sequence every Tuesday, with 'Dr. No' already broadcast last week. The channel will resume continuity next week with 'Goldfinger'. 

Potential changes for other James Bond films being pulled from broadcast schedules to show respect to the current crisis may include 'The Spy Who Loved Me' and 'Octopussy'.
