Adele hints at new single later this year, sparks 'Skyfall' speculation

04-Apr-2012 • Bond News

British singer-songwriter Adele has sparked further speculation that she will be writing and performing the title song to the new James Bond film, "Skyfall", following a radio interview in France.

Speaking to NRJ, she confirmed that although there would be no new album in 2012, fans can expect a new single. "There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year. But then it depends how quickly I write some other new songs," she teased.

Adele has been repeatedly linked to singing the title song to Daniel Craig's third outing as 007.

The last time she was interviewed about the subject back in September, she told Jonathan Ross: "Well, this is actually a theme, what I’ve got to do. Wow, that’s really giving something away," said the singer when prompted for more details.

When Ross hummed the memorable James Bond theme, Adele was reported to have blushed, and quickly tried to change the topic. "No, It’s a concept," explained the singer nervously.
