Javier Bardem was wowed by powerful 'Skyfall' script

13-Jun-2012 • Skyfall

Javier Bardem may be one of the highest-profile actors to take on the role of a James Bond villain in many a year, and the Spanish Oscar-winner has teased fans in the latest issue of Total Film magazine that it was the script and director that lured him to the project.

"I think it’s always about the material in the script. When I read it, I felt ‘Wow, this is powerful!’", he said.

"Of course, you have everything that you can expect in James Bond movies, but it has more than that. It’s very accomplished and powerful. And then I talked to Sam and he gave me his ideas. I thought they were very good - brave, in some way."
