Leaked Olympics track list includes the James Bond Theme

20-Jun-2012 • Bond News

A leaked long list of music that is planned to be used in the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony includes the famous James Bond Theme.

Daniel Craig's involvement in a short film 'The Arrival' that will kick off the festivities has been rumoured for months, and director Danny Boyle's inclusion of the famous theme music in his main event will also add to the speculation that 007 will make an appearance in character.

The Bond theme is #15 of a list of 86, assuming the leaked list was in order of performance.

Queen, The Sex Pistols, Dizzee Rascal and The Beatles are just some of the artists used to celebrate the best of British music. The pop and rock music will be joined by classical music and hymns, as well as themes to shows such as EastEnders and Doctor Who.

The 50-minute pre-show starts July 27 at 8.12pm and the ceremony kicks off properly at 9pm with the ringing of a massive bell.

"Live And Let Die" singer-songwriter Sir Paul McCartney will also perform live during the closing section of the opening ceremony.
