'Skyfall' audio pre-dub to be mixed in Hollywood

15-Jul-2012 • Skyfall

The James Bond films have traditionally been Made In England, with a few exceptions when production has hopped over to France or Mexico, but although "Skyfall" was shaping up to be one of the most British productions in the 50 years 007 has been on the silver screen, at least one aspect of the post production will be handled in America.

As confirmed by High Def Digest, Technicolor's massive 90,000 square foot facility on the Paramount lot in Hollywood will be used to create the audio pre-dub for the upcoming Bond film.

The facility, opened in September last year, is currently playing host to twenty-four television shows mix here, including 'True Blood', and another two major feature films.

Once the pre-dub is completed at Technicolor, the audio work will return to the UK where completion of the soundtrack will be wrapped up by composer Thomas Newman in London.
